Evolving History

I, long ago, lost all confidence in written history, especially that concerning pre-history. What began my questioning was the self-serving dating of ancient history. It seemed that prehistoric dating grew by millions, sometimes billions, of years every decade or so.

It began to dawn on me that, as the theory of evolution solidified into science, the timeline had to be expanded to make it seem more likely to have occurred as Darwin had theorized. The problem with that was that the more time was added to the sequences, the lack of evidence of transitional species became more problematic.

Then, some of the extinct species began to be found living currently. Much of that evidence was hastily erased from the scientific record, much as historical documents at odds with current theories are erased from libraries and bookstores.

Then, I began to realize that much of history and science is little more than vivid imaginings that are intended to re-write rather than discover. Scholars are often guilty of theorizing and inventing scenarios rather than in honest discovery and reporting.

Now, most of the “news” is invented for purposes of supporting certain theories. The progressive narrative is almost all built on lies. Psychology, psychology and sociology are built on imagination, often of deviants, wishing to whitewash their deviance.

And, with the historically quite recent burgeoning of fiction writing, movies and television, nearly everyone has been influenced to “suspend disbelief” concerning supposedly non-fictional writing and speaking.

Meanwhile, much of what we have inherited as wisdom, ancient scripture and poetry, has been debunked, much of it without substantiation.
